Does having undergraduate research help get you into physical therapy school?

I am a pre-professional Microbiology/Molecular Biology Major, I volunteer about 12 hours a week to leadership roles in the childrens and youth ministries at my church, I volunteer at the local hospital in the physical therapy annex, I have shadowed many doctors and 2 PT's. I have letters of recommendation from a doctor who runs a Duke affiliated heart surgery center. I am one of the founders/founding officers of the pre-medical fraternity chapter at UCF called Florida Beta Phi Delta Epsilon. My gpa is about a 3.2, I have not yet taken my GRE's, does having undergrad research experience help you as an applicant get to physical therapy school?
