What are better for all arround quality and performance of product? A 3mm thick or 4mm thick wet polishing pad

For all your guys who work with either granite,tile, or concrete. When you have to do your polsihing for bull nosing and radiuses. What do you prefer a set of pads that are 3mm thick or a set that 4mm thick and why? Thanks for everyone who can help me with my question...
