I have 4x6 and 6x9 ALPINE TYPE S speakers in my sunfire, will a mini amplifier help?

I have a pontiac sunfire with a 4x6 and 6x9 ALPINE TYPE S aftermarket speakers from alpine and aftermarket alpine ida-x303 head unit. When I put the front speakers kind of high they get crackly, If I bought the ktp-445 alpine mini power pack amp would i see a difference in sound quality? would it stop the crackling or should I only use this for alpine TYPE R speakers?
