Is there anywhere for a 13 year old to volunteer with reptiles in Colorado?

I'm 13, and would love to have a snake, lizard, skink ect., but my mom is afraid of them, and would never let me get one. I was thinking that if I can't have one as a pet, maybe I could volunteer somewhere with them. I was wondering if there's anywhere by boulder, CO where a 13 year old could volunteer with reptiles. everywhere I've found you have to be 18. Thanks!
