My temple feels squishy bubbly when I touch it, is something wrong?

My left temple felt a little sore to the touch so I rubbed it lightly only to notice a very odd squishy sensation deep under the skin. I can hear whatever is in there moving around when I touch it and it sounds like bubbles. There is no visible signs of irritation or swelling but it does hurt a little. What could this be?
